Terms of Use

1. The service
Tessera is an iPhone app that rebuilds a photograph you choose out of the pictures you take yourselves. These terms govern your use of the app. By downloading it you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
The app is developed and published by Taha Yerdekalmazer. “We” in this document means that.
2. Accounts
The core of the app works without an account. An account is only needed if you want backup or partner pairing, and it is created through Sign in with Apple.
You are responsible for the security of your account. Because we use Sign in with Apple we do not hold a separate password; the security of your Apple Account is directly the security of your Tessera account.
You can close your account at any time from Settings → Delete account.
3. Free use and Premium
The app is free to download. You can fill the first twenty moments of a journey without paying anything. Premium is required to open everything past the twentieth moment, to build a shared journey with your partner, to export at high resolution, and to create more than one journey.
4. Subscription terms
Premium is available three ways: a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown inside the app on the purchase screen, in the currency of your country.
- Payment is charged to your App Store account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The renewal charge is taken within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Inside the app, Settings → Manage subscription takes you straight there.
- If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription begins as a paid one. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription to the same content.
- Lifetime access is a one-time payment and does not renew.
Refunds are handled by Apple. Because the purchase is made through the App Store, a refund request has to go to reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue a refund on your behalf.
5. What happens if your subscription ends
When your subscription ends, everything you have made up to that day stays yours. The moments you filled, the photos you added and the whole of your mosaic remain visible.
The only thing Premium closes is adding new content: you cannot add new photos past the twentieth moment, and you cannot start a new journey. We do not take back a mosaic you have spent months on.
6. Your content is yours
The photos you add to the app and everything you write are yours. We claim no ownership over them, we do not use them in marketing, and we do not give them to third parties.
The only permission you give us is the one needed to provide the service: when you create an account, to store your photos, sync them between your devices and show them to your partner.
You are responsible for making sure the content you add is yours, or that you have the right to share it.
7. Acceptable use
When using the app you agree not to:
- upload unlawful content;
- upload private images of another person without their consent;
- attempt to bypass the technical protections of the service or place excessive load on the servers;
- attempt to access someone else's account.
We reserve the right to close accounts that break these rules.
8. Limitation of liability
We develop the app with all the care we can and take reasonable measures to protect your data. However the service is provided “as is” and we cannot guarantee that it will run uninterrupted or error-free.
Backup is your responsibility. If you do not create an account your data lives only on your device; if you lose the device or delete the app we cannot bring it back. If you are building a journey that matters to you, we recommend creating an account.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages. Our liability is in any case limited to the amount you have paid us in the last twelve months. These limitations do not affect the statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be removed by contract.
9. Termination
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting your account or removing the app. We may close your account in the case of a serious breach of these terms; if that happens you can request a refund for the unused part of your subscription through Apple.
10. If these terms change
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will say so inside the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye. In consumer disputes, your right to apply to the consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts in your own location is reserved.
